Cut

A diamond without a professional cut will not reflect light nor have the proper brilliance. A precise diamond cut allows the diamond to sparkle and involves a round cut in mathematical proportions. Symmetry is achieved with 58 exactly placed facets, creating luster and beauty in the eyes of the beholder.

Color
Diamonds can possess various colors but white has remained the most desirable. Yellow tinted diamonds are considered lower quality while blue, green, red and pink diamonds are more valuable based upon their rarity.

Clarity
As the name suggests, a diamonds’ clarity is the measure of how clear the diamond is. Clarity is determined through the measurement of number, size, nature and location of internal and external imperfections.

Carat
A carat measures the weight of a diamond. A carat is equal to 0.20 grams and subdivided into a 100 point system. The saying is true that the larger the weight, the greater the value. A 3 carat diamond is worth much more than three 1 carat diamonds.
